CHAPTER 1 — GETTING STARTED
Arrival & Preparation
New Stream Team members should arrive at least one hour before services while learning the system. Livestreaming requires preparation and should not be treated as a one-button operation. Arriving early gives you time to turn on the building lights, power up the Stream Room equipment, start the computers and monitors, and correct any problems before the livestream begins.
Countdown Times
Sunday Bible Class: 8:50 AM
Sunday Worship: 10:05 AM
Sunday Evening Worship: 4:50 PM
Wednesday Bible Class: 6:50 PM
Building Lights
When you arrive, turn on the stage lights and the spotlight. The spotlight is controlled separately and does not automatically come on with the stage lights. Turn on the main auditorium lights using the switches located at the back of the auditorium near the main doors.
Stream Room Setup
Enter the Stream Room and turn on the room light using the slide switch. The right-hand seat is normally the Main Controller position, and the left-hand seat is the Assistant position. The Main Controller has primary responsibility for operating the livestream.
Powering Up the System
Turn on the equipment rack. Power on both Mac Minis by pressing each computer’s power button once. You should hear the startup sound. Then turn on both monitors using the buttons on the rear of the monitors. The indicator light changes from red to blue when the monitor is powered on. Log into the computers and prepare them for the service.
Pre-Service Check
Before the countdown begins, verify that the building lights are on, the Stream Room equipment rack is powered, both computers and monitors are operating, and the system is ready for service. If you discover a problem, arriving early gives you time to correct it before going live.
Golden Rule
One hour early to prepare. Ten minutes early to stream.
